About me:

Firstly, I want to acknowledge my culture, those from the past, those who I know now and those who will be my culture in the future.

For as long as I can remember I have loved art, craft and all things creative. I am one of 5 children, my mother who is whadjela, my father noongar. My family are from “Wilman” country (near Wandering) in the “Gnaala Karla Booja” Region, we are Noongars. It took a while for me to fully understand what it meant to be Indigenous and I am still learning. My art and craft reflect my journey, my learning and my identity, I want to share this gift and tell the story behind each piece.

As an Indigenous woman I have been fortunate to share my paintings with family and friends. I strongly believe that my culture and my country connection styles the way I paint, not only is it authentic, but unique to me.

Over the past year I have felt stronger as an Aboriginal woman because of the positive encouragement and acknowledgement I receive from other Aboriginal women. Within this local Aboriginal group, we celebrate our success, we share our knowledge and we “yarn” about our dreams. So take a look at my site and share the journey with me.

About my Art:

Authentic Aboriginal Art has its own distinctive styles, I am lucky enough to have had been taught by two different regions. My art reflects these through "rock art" and contemporary "dots", as well as my own interpretation of  "boodja" – land images.
